Job summary

RONA in St. Catharines is seeking a lumberyard associate to assist customers with expert advice on lumber and building materials, help load products safely, and verify invoices. You will contribute to daily upkeep, organize stock, and maintain a clean, safe yard for customers and team members.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
• Knowledge of building materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for lumber and building material needs.
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently.
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided.
• Assist with daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers.
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard.
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly.
