As the Advanced Innovation – Elite Athlete Performance Pattern Engineer, you blend an artistic eye for design with a technical engineering mindset.
Requirements: strong visualization skills to translate between 2D and 3D and the ability to solve problems creatively and innovatively.
You will help shape groundbreaking performance apparel by turning sketches into patterns and subsequently into real apparel prototypes, ensuring our top athletes are enabled during the world’s most high‑profile moments in sport.
Support the delivery of transformative products that exceed athletes’ expectations using technical expertise in pattern engineering and advanced apparel construction.
Expertise in technical pattern engineering and best practices that lead toward apparel prototypes that demonstrate fit, performance, function, and innovation intent.
Lead the pattern development process through both digital and hands‑on make to inform decision‑making throughout the innovation creation process in parallel advising and drafting required pattern updates and corrections from physical to final product delivery, ensuring excellence in performance, fit, function, and aesthetic intent is maintained without compromise.
Identify and provide innovative construction and fit solutions for athletes across different activities.
Work cross‑functionally with key Elite Athlete Performance teams consisting of Design, Research, Athlete Testing, Raw Materials, Sports Marketing to ideate, refine, and evolve product concepts, always pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
Engineer and draft patterns by leveraging digital tools delivering advanced constructions that lead to ownable propositions for the brand.
Share expertise with teammates, helping them grow and develop knowledge and skills.
Foster a collaborative, knowledge‑sharing environment that elevates the entire team.
Work alongside cross‑functional teams within Product Innovation; Design, Concept Creation, including Pattern Engineering, Research, and Labs, to ensure seamless integration of new ideas into the product pipeline.

Lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay‑for‑performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is $119,200 – $156,500 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program subject to program eligibility requirements.
This role is classified as In‑Person under our SSC Workplace Policy: in‑person collaboration and connection is important to our culture. Work is performed onsite, minimum 4 days per week.
