Northern Metalic Lubricants is a leading distributor of industrial lubricants, supplies, and equipment, serving customers across Alberta & BC.

Northern Metalic Lubricants is part of a larger, diverse group of companies with interests in wholesale distribution, oilfield service & supply, lubricants distribution, land and real estate development, rail construction & transload, vehicles rentals & leasing, and finance.

Overview:

We are currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Lubricants Account Manager in the Grande Prairie, AB area.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively manage existing accounts building client relationships, identifying opportunities and action items through regular meetings/visits.
  • Conduct joint calls with expert colleagues and Chevron representatives.
  • Develop new business opportunities by working in your territory, exploring media, collaborating with colleagues, trade association membership, and attending trade shows.
  • Utilize the CRM to manage existing customers, develop prospects, track results, monitor sales pipeline progress, and set goals.
  • Design a sales plan for your territory with help from your sales manager, incorporating objectives, tracking progress against previous years’ numbers, analyzing performance, and developing monthly targets.
  • Develop a territory management plan that optimizes time in the field for servicing existing accounts and growing new accounts.
  • Utilize sales training (Challenger Skills & Accelerate Program) to prepare for sales calls and differentiate from competitors.
  • Strive for continued growth in lubricant knowledge by attending supplier training classes, STLE training, and events.
  • Conduct monthly reviews with sales manager to identify gaps to goals, sales progress, and skill development.
  • Provide guidance to the sales support team to help prioritize sales activities.
  • Coach and mentor the sales support team on lubricant education, assess capabilities, and recommend training plans.
  • Collaborate with the sales team in identifying and evaluating potential customers.
  • Exhibit desired leadership behavior; be a team player, great communicator, and mentor.
