Job summary

Gulf Operators Ltd. seeks a Lube Truck Technician in Saint John, NB to grease equipment, sample and change oil, perform inspections and light repairs within a dynamic civil service fleet.

The role requires safety-minded individuals with basic heavy equipment knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work evenings and weekends. Join a team committed to quality, safety, and on-site performance.

Qualifications

• Experience as Lube Tech or Block 1-2 mechanic.
• Valid driver’s license with air brakes; class 3 preferred.
• Basic knowledge of heavy equipment and mechanical aptitude.
• Committed to safety.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Technologically inclined (Office apps).
• Able to work in a fast-paced team.
• Able to handle shifting priorities and multiple tasks.
• Customer-focused and able to work with all levels of management.
• Self-starter and able to work independently.
• Able to meet tight deadlines.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and overtime when required.

Gulf Operators Ltd. is a civil contractor experienced in all aspects of civil work including concrete work, excavation, water and sewer, as well as aggregate production and sales.

Responsibilities

• Greasing equipment
• Sampling and changing oil
• Inspections
• Small mechanical repairs
• Completing paperwork and proper documentation
• Working with supervisors, customers, and fellow mechanics on various tasks
• Providing support for onsite safety requirements
• Safe operation and upkeep of company mobile service unit

Qualifications

• Experienced Lube Tech or Block 1-2 mechanic open to further training.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license with air brakes and clean drivers abstract; class 3 license preferred
• Basic knowledge of Heavy Equipment and mechanical aptitude
• Dedicated to safety
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Technologically inclined (Computer, Smartphones, Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Can work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to work with shifting priorities and multiple tasks
• Customer focused and able to work with others at all levels of management
• Self-starter mindset, able to work independently
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, nights, and overtime as required
