Quick Lube Technician (Entry Level) – Automotive

As a quick lube tech, you'll be responsible for inspecting and lubricating vehicles efficiently. With dedication, your career can grow within our dealership, where opportunities are abundant.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform multipoint inspections
  • Communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors
  • Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using hand- or compressed-air powered grease guns
  • Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings, and shackles
  • Check tire pressure
  • Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
  • Drain and refill oil in crankcases
  • Add water to radiators and batteries
  • Replace oil and air filters
  • Inspect vehicles for additional repairs
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and standards
Compensation

$16-20/hr

Qualifications
  • Must meet dealership’s employment requirements
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and information
  • Familiarity with automotive repair and maintenance
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate manual transmissions
  • Prior experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice preferred
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Occasional exposure to bad weather
  • Ability to operate a vehicle
  • Prolonged standing, stooping, and bending
  • Occasional exertion of 20-50 pounds of force
  • Long periods of standing or seated work, often at a production pace
