Job summary

Strada Crush is seeking a field-based Heavy Equipment Technician to perform lubrication and repair work at project locations in Ontario. Responsibilities include coordinating with the Parts and Service Coordinator, diagnosing repairs, maintaining lube truck inventory, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends as needed. A valid DZ license and Cat databases proficiency are required to support field service across sites in Ontario.

Qualifications

  • Completion of secondary school an asset.
  • Heavy equipment mechanical training an asset.
  • Be able to interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams and/or other specifications to determine work procedures.
  • Computer proficiency to use databases – Caterpillar.
  • Valid “DZ” Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Discuss process for requested repairs with Parts and Service Coordinator.
  • Diagnose repairs to be made.
  • Complete lubrication services and repairs as required.
  • Organize and control inventory of lube truck.
  • Document all service and repair information.
  • Complete reports and documentation as necessary, including heavy truck operation.
  • Ensure and enforce compliance to all company, client and legislated Safety policies and procedures.
  • Any additional duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, from time to time.

Position Summary

Complete lubrication services and repairs in project field locations as directed by the Heavy Equipment Repairs & Maintenance Manager.

Working Conditions
  • Typical hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, additional hours including occasional weekends when required ;
  • Significant physical effort. Significant exposure to environmental conditions;
  • Significant travel to worksites.
