Job summary

The Renfrew County Catholic District School Board (RCCDSB) seeks qualified educators for Long Term Occasional teaching assignments to ensure continuity during extended staff absences in a Catholic learning environment focused on faith-based education and student well-being.

Candidates have a B.Ed. and OCT certification with subject-area qualifications, plus a commitment to inclusive education, equity, and collaborative practice in RCCDSB schools across Ontario.

Qualifications

Job Summary:

The Renfrew County Catholic District School Board is seeking qualified and committed educators to fill Long Term Occasional (LTO) teaching assignments. LTO teachers play a vital role in providing continuity of instruction and student support during extended staff absences. These positions offer the opportunity to work collaboratively in a Catholic learning environment that values faith-based education, academic excellence, and student well-being.

• Design inclusive, differentiated instruction and learning experiences to meet diverse student needs, including those with exceptionalities;

• Use a variety of assessment and evaluation strategies to inform instruction and report student achievement;


• Establish positive and respectful relationships with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and the wider school community;

Qualifications:

• Valid Certificate of Qualification and Registration with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT);


• Qualified in the subject area(s) as listed above.


• For positions requiring two or more subject areas, qualified in a minimum of one area;


• For FSL positions, please note that first consideration will be given to applicants with FSL Qualifications and then to applicants who are bilingual;


• Additional Qualifications (AQs) in relevant subject areas are considered assets;


• Demonstrated knowledge of current educational practices, inclusive education, and culturally responsive teaching;

Long Term Occasional assignments will terminate as shown above, or the return of the permanent teacher, but no later than June 26, 2026.
