Teacher – Long Term Occasional (LTO)

Mother St. Bride

1.0 FTE, SK/Grade 1

Effective May 12, 2025

for an indefinite period, but not to extend beyond June 27, 2025.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary Division
Preferred Requirements
  • Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the above division
  • Ability to facilitate synchronous and asynchronous learning and effective communication with parents
  • Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Understanding of the Ontario Curriculum, the Ontario Kindergarten Program (2016), and strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy
  • Experience supporting structured literacy and using student data to inform instruction
  • Experience with student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Google Meet, G-Suite tools, and EDSBY
  • Proven classroom management skills
  • Active participation in professional learning teams to promote student achievement
  • Willingness to assume extra-curricular duties
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with the school environment (asset)
  • Additional qualifications in Special Education (asset)
