About Us

The Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB), in partnership with home and Church, is an inclusive and equitable learning community dedicated to providing excellence in Catholic education by developing Christ-centred individuals enabled to transform society. A provincial leader in student achievement, Halton Catholic District School Board provides exceptional educational experiences and services to over 36,000 students of all ages across our 48 elementary schools, 10 secondary schools, and 3 continuing education facilities, serving the wider Catholic communities of Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton, and Oakville.

Grade / Division: Grade 3 FTE / Sections: 1.00 FTE Schedule: As per collective agreement. Qualifications: As per the Education Act and Regulations, unless otherwise specified.

This assignment shall be filled in accordance with Part A, Article 17.3 of the current OECTA Elementary Collective Agreement, wherein priority placement will be given to unplaced, qualified redundant teacher applicants from the Elementary Teacher bargaining in order of seniority. In the event the assignment remains unfilled, qualified applications from the Occasional Roster will be considered.

Education

Notwithstanding the above, we encourage applications from all Ontario Certified Teacher applicants as well as education students holding, or who have applied for a:

  • Transitional Certificate of Qualification and Registration fromthe Ontario College of Teachers; or
  • Multi-Session Transitional Certificate of Qualification and Registration from theOntario College of Teachers.

Please note that the posted end date is subject to change and the assignment may terminate as follows:

  • on a date determined to meet a Board staffing requirement; or,
  • the last teaching day before the return date of the absent teacher; or,
  • by no later than the last teaching day of the current school year.

This assignment may end sooner than the posted end date.
