Job summary

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for effective instruction, training and evaluation of pupil progress in assigned subjects and manage the classroom.
• Carry out supervisory duties and instructional programs as assigned by the principal.
• Co-operate with other teachers and the principal in all matters related to instruction.
• Ensure classrooms are prepared before classes and maintain safety procedures.
• Maintain close cooperation with the community and support staff.
• Prepare teaching plans and outlines as required by the principal and supervisory officers.
• Complete report cards following provincial guidelines and participate in testing and parent meetings.
