Job Description

Job Title: LTL Shipper

Pay: $19.00

Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm

Location: Walkerton

Job Summary

The LTL Shipper is responsible for packaging, loading, and scheduling pickups to ensure the safe delivery and shipment of products.

Responsibilities
  • Create Bills of Lading (BOL) and schedule LTL pickups
  • Package products for safe delivery and shipment
  • Operate a forklift safely and effectively to load products onto trucks
  • Load products manually onto trucks safely and effectively
  • Assist with factory pickups, stage orders, and organize storage racks
  • Read and interpret sales orders to fulfill orders accurately
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Quickly learn all products being produced and shipped
  • Meet efficiency standards and adhere to company policies
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe workplace
  • Operate forklifts and saws safely and effectively
  • Work independently in a self-directed manner
  • Communicate effectively and stay organized
  • Use basic measurement tools successfully
  • Knowledge of UPS, freight quoting, and product picking
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and email
Programs, Machinery, Tools, and Equipment
  • Forklift, scissor lift, carts
  • Measurement tools: tape measure, scale, ladder, hand tools, saw, bander, shrink wrapper, utility knife
  • Computer applications: Microsoft Office, email, SBT, TIW, UPS, Freight setup
Minimum Education, Credentials, and Experience
  • 1-2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Work in environments with temperatures ranging from 50 to 110 degrees
  • Frequently stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull 50 to 100 lbs with assistance
  • Reach overhead, climb, balance, and handle objects regularly
  • Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with potential overtime including weekends
