Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations Management: Oversee and coordinate day-to-day operations to ensure effective service delivery and resident care.
- Staff Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership including hiring, orientation, scheduling, performance management, and professional development.
- Team Development: Establish goals, conduct evaluations, and support ongoing training and development.
- Program Oversight: Lead planning, quality improvement initiatives, and evaluate care services to maintain high standards.
- Policy and Standards Implementation: Interpret and implement policies and procedures related to resident care and ensure compliance.
- Clinical Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external departments for resident-centered care.
- Budget Management: Monitor and allocate resources within the unit budget.
- Resident-Centered Clinical Leadership: Lead development of treatment plans, perform assessments, and participate in case conferences.
- Clinical Supervision: Act as a clinical resource, guiding the multidisciplinary team and ensuring continuity of care.
What You Bring
Education
- Registered Nurse with current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Baccalaureate in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing and qualifications for a staff nurse in the clinical area.
- At least five (5) years of recent clinical experience, including three (3) years in a supervisory role, or equivalent education and experience.

Your Day-to-Day:
- Supervise staff, coordinate assignments, and develop schedules for high-quality resident care.
- Monitor performance, outcomes, and safety, and implement improvements.
- Manage staff performance, including evaluations and attendance issues.
- Handle employee relations and grievances in collaboration with management and HR.
- Coordinate staff leaves, vacation, and scheduling, ensuring accurate records.
- Lead care planning, clinical supervision, and support to the team.
- Identify training needs and coordinate educational plans.
- Participate in recruitment and workforce planning.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and manage the unit budget.
- Develop and implement resident treatment plans and conduct assessments.
- Support staff with clinical interventions and case management.
- Lead incident reporting and safety measures.
- Represent the program on committees, providing clinical insights.
- Maintain records, track outcomes, and pursue professional development.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support operations and resident care.
