Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Windsor, Ontario is seeking an LPN Medication Nurse to provide licensed nursing support, safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate MAR/TAR documentation for resident safety.

In this role you will administer medications per orders, ensure Six Rights compliance, transcribe orders, monitor symptoms, and report changes promptly, contributing to care plans in a resident-centered senior living environment.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong assessment and documentation skills.
• Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or adverse reactions promptly.
• Conduct SHUs (Service & Health Updates).
• Transcribe physician orders and support care plan updates.
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes.
• Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and uphold compliance standards.
