Job summary

Interior Health is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Long-term Care team at Gateby in Vernon, BC. The role involves assessments, care planning, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team in a dynamic environment.

The position is permanent part-time (0.65FTE) with shifts spanning days, evenings, and nights from 06:45 to 18:45 and 18:45 to 06:45. Vernon offers a scenic community with strong lifestyle opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with policies.
• Operates within BC BCCNM standards and organizational policies and unit protocols.

Education
