LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

Join our team at Oasis Fertility Centre, the premier physician-owned fertility clinic in western Canada. We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. As an LPN at Oasis Fertility Centre, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians and RNs with clinical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining efficient clinic operations.

Duties:

1. Collaborate with the medical team to assist in various clinical procedures, including specimen collection.
2. Maintain inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring proper stocking and organization.
3. Perform phlebotomy duties, label specimens accurately, and coordinate with laboratories for test results.
4. Uphold strict confidentiality standards regarding patient information and clinic operations.
5. Participate in quality assurance programs to enhance patient care and safety.
6. Conduct indirect patient care activities such as cleaning recovery areas and sterilization processes and laundry.
7. Support administrative tasks including ordering supplies, attending meetings, and documenting patient interactions.
8. Have experience with netcare and charting.

Requirements:

1. Valid LPN license with good standing from the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
2. Completion of a Phlebotomy course or willingness to undertake the training.
3. ACLS, BLS certification and up-to-date vaccinations are mandatory.
4. Strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to teamwork.
5. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
6. Demonstrated flexibility in handling varying workloads and initiatives to improve patient care.
