New LPC Job in LTC!

We are now hiring Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for senior living homes in Osoyoos. Our client provides a competitive compensation package and this is a 6-month full-time contract with health and dental benefits. Current certificate of registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC is required, and candidates must be able to provide a copy of the nursing license to indicate good standing.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Utilize sound nursing practice principles and provide nursing care in accordance with policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
  2. Identify the needs of residents and develop and maintain appropriate care plans.
  3. Ensure a timely and accessible admission for the residents.
  4. Ensure the supply, control, and safe keeping of drugs and narcotics, ensuring protocols are followed on all assigned shifts.
  5. Maintain sound nursing knowledge in geriatric care and nursing administration.
  6. Knowledge of the requirements of the Nursing Home Act and Regulations, the appropriate sections of the Health Disciplines Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, and Food & Drug Act.
