Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized Practical Nurse program.
• Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary care teams and diverse colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Perform full scope of practical nursing for clients with predictable outcomes within a designated area of specialty.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document client care; provide support to clients and families.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and support the Registered Nurse in care with complex needs.
• Maintain and advance clinical competence per BCCNM standards for Licensed Practical Nurses.
