Job summary

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) invites applications for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Combined Medical Surgical Nursing team at Squamish Hospital. The role supports client and family-centered care and aligns with BCCNM standards while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification is required.
• Graduation from a recognized LPN program or equivalent.
• Registration with BCCNM in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Performs full scope of practical nursing functions for clients with predictable outcomes within a designated area of specialty.
• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents client care.
• Provides support to clients and their families.
• Supports the Registered Nurse in caring for clients with unpredictable outcomes or higher acuity.
• Maintains and advances clinical competence pursuant to BCCNM standards for Licenced Practical Nurses.
