Job summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking an experienced Java Developer to enhance a markets-wide risk management platform and integrate with trading systems across markets.

You will collaborate with management to identify system enhancements and mentor junior developers while applying your Java expertise to ensure architectural alignment. You will work on multi-threaded, distributed systems using Spring, Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift, and various testing frameworks to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Extensive Core Java (Java 17+) with strong data structures and SOLID.
• Hands-on microservices experience.
• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka and Solace.
• Proficiency in Spring framework and cloud technologies (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Familiarity with Jira, Bitbucket, and Gradle.
• Experience with MongoDB and distributed systems.
• Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit and Cucumber).
• Understanding of the FIX protocol.

• Experience with Chronicle framework or low-latency programming.


• Experience with time-series databases like KDB.


• Experience with Equities trading OMS.
