Job summary

Mohawk College invites applications for a Low Carbon Project Lead (September 2026 – August 2027) in Hamilton, Ontario. The role reports to EPIC and will support Canadian SMEs through the transition to a low carbon economy.

Responsibilities include project scoping, performing lifecycle analyses, carbon accounting, and communicating findings to stakeholders. A university degree in related fields is required with sustainability experience preferred.

Qualifications

• A university degree in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Masters or post-graduate certificate in sustainability management is an asset.
• Experience related to Centre focus areas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct exploratory meetings with SMEs and define project scope.
• Design projects and establish workplans to meet timelines.
• Perform administrative tasks such as NDA drafting and project reporting.
• Perform emissions baselines, lifecycle assessments, and carbon accounting.
• Write reports and present results to diverse audiences.
• Act as strategic advisor and maintain sponsor relationships.
• Conduct follow-up impact surveys with past partners.
• Other duties as assigned.
