Job summary

Lexus of Calgary is seeking a full-time Lot Attendant to join our Calgary team. You will verify receipts of new vehicles, conduct damage inspections, and ensure vehicles are parked in an organized and orderly manner on the new-vehicle lot.

You will work closely with the sales team, service department, and support staff in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Training is provided, and career growth opportunities are available within a world-class automotive leader.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school or three to six months related experience.
  • Clean driving abstract with ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Verify receipt of new vehicles against invoices and document damages on delivery receipts.
  • Inspect incoming vehicles for damage and confirm presence of accessories as listed.
  • Park and relocate stock to optimize space and maintain an organized lot.
  • Maintain an organized vehicle-key storage system and track stock control numbers.
  • Transport sold units to the preparation department for final delivery readiness.
  • Perform routine maintenance on stored vehicles to preserve battery life and tires.

Job description

As a key member of the Lexus of Calgary team and reporting to the Sales Managers, the Lot Attendant will work alongside a seasoned sales team, service department, and support staff, all representing a world-class leader in the automotive industry.

Lexus of Calgary is seeking our next great team member to join our team as a full-time Lot Attendant at our location in Calgary.

Summary:

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Lot Attendant is someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a high-performing team, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This role is responsible for verifying the receipt of new vehicles, conducting thorough damage inspections upon delivery, and ensuring vehicles are parked in an organized and orderly manner in the new-vehicle lot.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Compares serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice;
  • Conducts thorough inspections of incoming vehicles to identify any damage and confirm the presence of accessories as detailed on the invoice.
  • Accurately documents all damages and notes any missing items on the delivery receipt.
  • Strategically parks new inventory in designated areas to optimize space and organization.
  • Maintains an organized system for cataloging and storing vehicle keys.
  • Assigns and tracks stock control numbers for accurate inventory management.
  • Relocates sold vehicles to maximize lot efficiency and maintain a neat, orderly display.
  • Transports sold units to the new-vehicle preparation department for final delivery readiness.
  • Performs routine maintenance on stored vehicles to preserve battery life, tire integrity, and vehicle finish.
  • Completes all associated documentation promptly and with precision.
  • Assists with additional duties and special projects as directed by management.
  • Schedule:Full Time

Qualifications:
  • No prior experience or training.
  • Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Clean driving abstract with the ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
  • Valid drivers license.
