The Loss Prevention Specialist plays a critical regional role in executing loss prevention initiatives to reduce theft, fraud, and operational risks. This position involves conducting investigations, performing compliance checks at field locations, analyzing exception data, and supporting the planning and execution of targeted interventions—all in alignment with corporate Loss Prevention standards.

Description

  • Develop and implement standardized national loss prevention programs, procedures, and best practices.
  • Lead the national audit and risk assessment program to proactively identify vulnerabilities, procedural gaps, and noncompliance.
  • Supervise the activities and performance of Loss Prevention Specialists and Investigators across all assigned regions.
  • Conduct and oversee investigations into internal / external theft, fraud, policy breaches, and other loss-related incidents.
  • Deliver training and guidance to LP staff and Operations partners to support field loss prevention initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (HR, Operations, Legal) during disciplinary processes and legal matters, when requested.
  • Analyze exception-based data and operational trends to develop proactive loss prevention strategies.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all incidents, investigation outcomes, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present regular reports, KPIs, and loss metrics to the Director of Security and Loss Prevention.
  • Contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of national standards and KPIs for LP operations.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in loss prevention, asset protection, or investigative roles.
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills, including clear and structured report writing.
  • Ability to work independently and travel to assigned sites across the region. - Solid understanding of operational workflows, compliance controls, and risk mitigation.
  • Knowledge of Loss Prevention and Asset Protection procedures and best practices.
  • Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken).
  • Certification in investigative interviewing techniques (e.g., Wicklander-Zulawski) required.
