Job summary

Hudbay Minerals Inc. seeks a Longhole Driller for the Lalor Mine near Snow Lake, MB. The role involves drilling and blasting production holes in an underground operation that produces zinc, gold, copper and silver.

You will operate air or electric hydraulic long hole drills and work an 11.5‑hour shift on a 7/7 cycle, with camp accommodations and travel allowances provided as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Experience operating electric hydraulic long hole drills, top hammer and ITH.
• Experience blasting long hole stopes.

The Opportunity

We are seeking Longhole Drillers for our Lalor Mine. Lalor Mine is a high-grade, producing underground mine located near Snow Lake, MB. It is a major, long-life operation primarily producing Zinc, Gold, Copper, Silver, with ore processed at the nearby Stall and New Britannia Mills.

Responsibilities

• To drill and blast production holes
• Operate air or electric hydraulic long hole drills

Prerequisites

• Experience operating electric hydraulic long hole drills, top hammer and ITH
• Experience blasting long hole stopes

Schedule

• The successful candidate will work 11.5hr shift on a 7/7 (Wednesdays-Tuesdays) schedule. Please note this is not a FIFO opportunity, employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Snow Lake. To support you, we offer a fully equipped camp and a quarterly travel allowance.(some restrictions apply)

Compensation

• Base Earnings

Hourly Rate:$41.54/hr

Underground Bonus: Additional $15.00-$20.00/hr on average

• Shift Premiums:

Night Shift Premium: + $0.63/hr
