Qualifications

• Current member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
• Qualifications in Primary and Junior Divisions.
• Knowledge of current Ministry initiatives.
• Excellent English language communication skills, both oral and written.
• Sound knowledge of evidence-based assessment practices, including the use of diagnostic assessments to inform teaching and learning.
• Commitment to using technology in instruction and to fostering innovation and creativity for 21st century learners.
• Knowledge of the IPRC process and the IEP as they relate to planning and programming.
• Ability to implement differentiated instructional approaches to support instruction and engagement.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing literacy and numeracy initiatives.
• Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with students, staff and parents.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Reliable attendance.
