Qualifications

  • Proven experience in maintenance planning within mining or heavy industry.
  • Deep understanding of Work Management Processes including WO preparation.
  • Strong SAP skills for planning and master data management.
  • Advanced Excel capability for reporting and data analysis.
  • Experience collaborating across Engineering, Maintenance, and Reliability teams.

Roster:4 days on / 3 days off – Residential in Port Hedland or FIFO ex Perth

Reporting to the Senior Long Term Planner, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our maintenance and shutdown strategies are set up for long-term success.

This isn’t just about preparing work orders—it’s about looking ahead, optimising resources, and creating strategies that drive the reliability and longevity of our assets. Your work will directly influence the performance, efficiency, and sustainability of our operations for years to come.

Key Responsibilities
  • Buildfully scoped and resourced Work Ordersthat are execution-ready well in advance
  • Develop and maintainforward works programsfor fixed plant assets
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, Reliability, and Engineering teams to refine scopes and optimise WOs
  • Confirm rotable and parts availability to safeguard planning integrity
  • Coordinate and track projects usingPES and DCRM systems
  • Support monthlyPM05 forecastingand adjust for work churn and operational priorities
  • Link OPEX tasks to CAPEX projects for full lifecycle visibility
  • Analyse shutdown performance outcomes to improve master data and planning strategies
  • Drive master data updates to continuously enhance scheduling accuracy
Qualifications and Experience

We’re looking for someone with the technical knowledge and the long-term vision to see beyond immediate work demands:

  • Proven experience inmaintenance planningwithin mining, heavy industry, oil & gas, or manufacturing
  • Deep understanding ofWork Management Processesincluding WO preparation and rotable planning
  • StrongSAP skillsfor planning, scheduling, and master data management
  • AdvancedExcel capabilityfor reporting, forecasting, and data analysis
  • Experience collaborating acrossEngineering, Maintenance, and Reliabilityteams
  • Knowledge ofshutdown planning, PM05 cost tracking, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to forecast workloads and adapt to shifting priorities while keeping long-term objectives in focus
