Responsibilities

  • Receiving the daily crew lineup.
  • Completing pre-op checks and check sheets.
  • Inspecting the workplace to eliminate hazards.
  • Prepping the workplace, cleaning and reaming holes.
  • Drilling production holes for long hole stopes.
  • Drilling service holes as requested.
  • Installing or taking down services and venting.
  • Operating equipment as required.

Job description

We are looking to hire Long Hole Drillers to join our team at the Timmins West Mine in Timmins, ON on a full-time basis.

The schedule is 5-5-4, 10-hour shifts rotating days and nights each week.

In this position, you will be responsible for receiving the daily crew lineup, completing pre-op checks and check sheets as required; inspecting the workplace and eliminating and correcting hazards by following all prints and drilling instructions provided by the Engineering Department. Duties include, but are not limited to, prepping the workplace, cleaning and reaming holes, drilling production holes for long hole stopes, drilling service holes as requested, installing or taking down services, venting, and operating equipment as required.

Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position.
