Education: Completion of Secondary School required.
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):
Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement required.
Experience: Heavy duty driving experience is an asset, but not required.
Languages: Functional English is required and ability to understand road signs.
Type of Trucking and Equipment: Straight truck (4,600kg or 10,000lbs with 3 axles), Tractor-trailer, Flatbed, Refrigerated, Highway.
Type of Travel: This position is for Long-haul heavy truck driving, routes vary considerably; routes include travel through the Province of British Columbia, all across Canada, (BC, AB, ONT, USA). Travel may also be through other areas in Canada and the United States. Travel through various towns, cities, and districts in Canada and the United States.
Documentation Skills: Applicants must be willing to learn how to review, input data into, and understand the following documents; driver logbook, bill of lading, inspection report, pre-trip/en-route/post-trip, trans-border documentation, maintenance/repair reports, & trip reports.
Communication Equipment: Applicants must be willing to learn how to use the following equipment: Citizens band (CB) radio, Cellular phone, Satellite tracking (GPS) equipment.
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), Medical exam, Drug test.

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel all across Canada and the United States. Willing to travel by day/evening/night including travel on overnight routes, willing to travel for extended periods of time.
Other: Candidate must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must be willing to drive long haul trucks as a two person team. Functional English is required to understand road signs and fill log book.
