Trans-wave Logistics Inc. in Saint Andrews, NB, is seeking a full-time truck driver. The role involves planning routes, loading/unloading goods, and operating straight or articulated trucks to transport cargo.

You will be responsible for vehicle inspections, tire and brake checks, and relaying information to dispatch. Applicants should have a secondary school certificate; Class 1 licence is required. This position is on-site with mileage paid and hours between 40 and 50 per week, at 31.35 CAD

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Tasks

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses

• Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
