Job Description
This position requires a secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Experience is considered an asset but not mandatory.
Work Setting
Tasks
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Load and unload goods
- Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption

- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)

- Inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)

Security and Safety
- Criminal record check

Transportation / Travel Information
- Valid driver's license
- Willing to travel cross-border, internationally, overnight, and for extended periods
