Tasks

• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
• Ensure safety and security of cargo through tarping and other measures
• Transport and handle dangerous goods according to safety regulations
