GSD Cranes Inc. (0744271 BC Ltd.)is looking for Two (2) Long Haul Truck Driver who can start work as soon as possible.

If you have experience as a long-haul Truck Driver, then we want you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

This opportunity would be most compatible with individuals that are motivated and ambitious.

We are located in the Coquitlam area (X2-2320 Rogers Ave. Coquitlam, BC). This position is Long-term permanent full-time employment (minimum 40 hours per week with potential for 60 hours weekly) at $37.00 / hour.

Job Duties:

  • The driver is responsible for:
    • Monitoring the operation of vehicles to ensure safe driving practices are used at all times.
    • Independently operating a tractor-trailer in a safe and efficient manner; obeying all federal, provincial, and departmental transportation and traffic rules and regulations; and adhering to the designated routes and delivery schedules.
  • They must maintain accurate records of fuel usage, vehicle maintenance schedules, and cargo loads.
  • The role involves operating a large vehicle (tractor-trailer) for extended periods in varied road, weather, and traffic conditions.
  • The driver is required to inspect and maintain vehicles pre-trip, on route, and post-trip to ensure they are safe for operation on the road.
  • They must maintain knowledge of federal and provincial regulations regarding shipping and transportation procedures.
  • They are expected to follow set schedules for deliveries between locations, including overnight stays until deliveries can be made the following day.
  • The duties also include completing paperwork and permits related to shipping transactions, including bills of lading, route-tracking logs, and delivery contracts.
  • Effective communication with dispatch and customers regarding the loading, delivery details, delays, and problems with the delivery is essential.
  • The driver must maintain security of the vehicle and cargo and ensure that cargo is delivered in good condition and in a timely manner.
  • Additionally, they must maintain daily logs, trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports, as well as maintain and clean the tractor.
  • Interact courteously and professionally with customers during pick-ups and deliveries, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
