Job summary

Transformer Logistics in Brampton, ON, is seeking an experienced commercial driver responsible for planning routes, performing pre/post trip inspections, and delivering cargo safely across domestic and cross-border routes.

Valid AZ Class license with Air Brake Endorsement, TDG and WHMIS certificates preferred; duties include maintaining logbooks, safeguarding cargo, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using GPS to minimize fuel consumption and emissions.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all vehicle aspects.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Tarp cargo and ensure safety and security of goods.
• Transport and handle dangerous goods.

Tasks
