Job description

• Location: 27 HANSEN ROAD SOUTH, Brampton, ON L6W 3H7
• Salary: $34.50 hourly / 40 to 60 hours per week
• Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full-time
• Starts as soon as possible

Overview

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

1. Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques
2. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
3. Load and unload goods
4. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
5. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
6. Pay and receive payments for goods
7. Perform brake adjustments
8. Perform emergency roadside repairs
9. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
10. Perform preventive maintenance
11. Receive and relay information to central dispatch
12. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
13. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
14. Transport and handle dangerous goods

Minimum Requirements

• AZ class license
• Valid driver's licence
