Key Responsibilities:

1. Operate tractor-trailers and long-combination vehicles, ensuring on-time deliveries across Canada and internationally.
2. Plan and navigate routes, adjusting for weather and road conditions.
3. Securely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution.
4. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any issues.
5. Maintain accurate logs and handle shipping paperwork.
6. Follow all safety and transportation regulations.

Requirements:

1. Secondary high school graduation certificate.
2. Valid Class 1 driver’s license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
3. Minimum of 1 year experience operating long-haul trucks.
4. Knowledge of long-distance routes, including provincial and international regulations.
5. Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing time and routes effectively.
6. Basic mechanical skills to perform emergency roadside repairs.
7. Physical ability to load, unload, and secure cargo when necessary.
8. Excellent communication skills to interact with dispatch, customers, and other drivers.
9. Willingness to travel long distances and work extended hours as needed.
