  • Coordinate logistics planning activities with both the local and central operations team at PowerCo SE Germany, and coordinate and lead topics such as local process requirements, material flow within the St. Thomas facility and in design meetings with the General Planner.
  • Balance resource utilization to maximize efficiency while minimizing costs, and allocate resources effectively, including labour, equipment, and storage space
  • Estimate headcount demand for ramp-up and steady-state phases for each process, and monitor staffing levels, workflows, and resources during the ramp-up phase, adjusting when necessary
  • Work closely with production teams to align logistics plans with manufacturing schedules, implement improvements to streamline material flows and reduce lead times, and facilitate communication between logistics and production departments to address challenges and ensure synchronization
  • Identify and implement technology solutions to enhance logistics and material flow processes
  • Collaborate with IT teams to define requirements for tools to support logistics processes, and integrate logistics systems with other factory management systems
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential risks in material flows and logistics processes while developing contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain accurate documentation of logistics plans, implementation schedules, and performance metrics to include on KPI reports

Key Responsibilities

  • Post-Secondary Education in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 5+ years in a related logistics planning function, ideally within a large, global organization
