Your days will include :

  • Monitoring on-time delivery of products to customers.
  • Completing bills of lading, bookings, and shipping instructions with Steam Ship Lines.
  • Coordinating TL, LTL, and Multi-drop transportation for North America shipments.
  • Planning and monitoring container shipments including container deliveries for loading and container returning to the shipping line in coordination with rail / port deadlines
  • Selecting carriers for exports while referring to contracts for the most competitive rates.
  • Identifying and resolving claims and service issues.
  • Communicating to 3rd party vendors to maintain on-time loading and delivery
  • Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
  • Completing customs documents including AES and carrier shipping instructions
  • Daily management of work files and maintaining data integrity for shipment tracking
  • Communication with customers in regard to shipping schedules and tracking deposit payments
  • Reporting on key performance indicators and regular management reports
  • And other duties!

To succeed in this role, you must possess :

  • College Diploma in Business preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a transportation environment; International export experience is an asset.
  • Energy, self-motivation, and a desire to learn.
  • Accurate data input skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities to tackle new challenges.
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Office, with an ability to adapt to other software applications.
  • Team player mindset with the flexibility to work independently when needed.
  • Ability to multitask and excel in a fast-paced environment.
