AtkinsRéalis is seeking a seasoned Logistics Manager to lead the end-to-end logistics for the Cernavoda 1 project from delivery to turnover. The role focuses on developing procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders in Canada and the USA.

You will oversee adherence to Incoterms, export controls, and-safe transport regulations, while maintaining accurate records and optimizing the flow of goods for offshore sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Logistics or Materials Management or equivalent with 10+ years of experience.
• Thorough knowledge of logistics principles, systems, regulations, and contractual terms.
• Strong written communication capabilities and analytical skills.
• Good leadership and motivational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage movement of materials to off-shore customer sites.
• Custodian of Logistics procedures and plans for the C1 Project.
• Establish, plan and execute the project Logistics plan.
• Establish and manage internal and external communications with stakeholders.
• Monitor implementation and performance of the logistics plan.
• Ensure compliance with program, procedures, and system requirements.
• Coordinate with Canada Customs, International Trade, CNSC and related agencies for export/import of controlled goods.
• Arrange return of goods for supplier warranty repairs and for tooling.
• Ensure compliance with safe transport of radioactive materials per IAEA/IATA/ICAO.
• Interface with customs brokers and forwarders for movement of goods.
• Recommend budget allocations for offshore logistics activities.
• Maintain records of all activities.

Overview

Manage logistics, traffic, customs, and duties for the Cernavoda 1 project from the time of delivery up to turnover to the client (internal or external). Provide support to the Director Procurement and Project Management as required. Develop and implement Logistics procedures, plans, and objectives to ensure compliance with the quality program, international trade rules, Incoterms and other regulations as required. Ensure that adequate resources are available to comply with procedures, processes, and requirements for the scope of each project as it applies to Logistics Management.

Your role

• Manage activities for the movement of materials to off-shore customer sites.
• Custodian of Logistics procedures and plans related to the C1 Project.
• Establish, plan and execute the project Logistics plan.
• Establish and manage internal and external communications with various stakeholders as required.
• Monitor implementation and performance of the logistics plan.
• Ensure compliance to the program, procedures, and system requirements.
• Responsible for compliance with Canada Customs, International Trade, CNSC and other inter-governmental agencies in Canada/USA related to Candu import and export requirements of controlled nuclear equipment, parts, and technical data.
• Ensure all controlled goods and technical data are being shipped or issued under a valid export permit and export license.
• Responsible for arranging return of goods from offshore customer sites for supplier warranty repairs/replacement.
• Responsible for arranging return of Candu tooling including radioactive classification tool sets.
• Ensure compliance to regulations related to safe transport of radioactive materials as per IAEA, IATA, and ICAO regulations.
• Interface with customs brokers and designated forwarders for the movement of goods to and from the customer site.
• Recommend budget allocations for logistics activities related to offshore project proposals.
• Maintain adequate records of all activities performed.

Accountability:

• Accuracy and currency of logistics and material management information.
• Effectiveness and efficiency of the flow of goods to and from offshore sites.
• Identification of training requirements of division staff and implementation of training programs.
• Achievement of business plan targets, including budget objectives set out by the project.

About you

• Degree in Logistics or Materials Management from a recognized university or technical institute, or equivalent combination of education and experience which equates to at least 10 years of experience in Logistics Management.
• Thorough knowledge of established logistics and material management principles, systems, regulations, and contractual terms.
• Good written communication capabilities and analytical skills.
• Good leadership and motivational skills.
