- Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment
Support for newcomers and refugees
- Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (e.g., facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.)
- Recruit newcomers and/or refugees displaced by conflicts or natural disasters (e.g., Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.)
- Assist newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition
- Offer mentorship programs pairing newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to foster a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees
Support for Indigenous people
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
- Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations
- Provide cultural competency and awareness training to all employees to promote inclusivity for Indigenous workers
- Facilitate access to Elders for support and guidance to Indigenous workers
Support for visible minorities
- Implement hiring policies that discourage discrimination against visible minorities (e.g., anonymized hiring processes)
- Offer mentorship programs pairing visible minorities with experienced employees
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create an inclusive work environment for visible minorities
