Job summary

A logistics support company in Vancouver is seeking a permanent employee to monitor supplies movement, coordinate traffic flow, and assist with the integration of newcomers, refugees, and Indigenous peoples.   • Tasks

    • Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments
    • Coordinate traffic flow of supplies
    • Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment

    Support for newcomers and refugees

    • Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (e.g., facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.)
    • Recruit newcomers and/or refugees displaced by conflicts or natural disasters (e.g., Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.)
    • Assist newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition
    • Offer mentorship programs pairing newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
    • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to foster a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees

    Support for Indigenous people

    • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
    • Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations
    • Provide cultural competency and awareness training to all employees to promote inclusivity for Indigenous workers
    • Facilitate access to Elders for support and guidance to Indigenous workers

    Support for visible minorities

    • Implement hiring policies that discourage discrimination against visible minorities (e.g., anonymized hiring processes)
    • Offer mentorship programs pairing visible minorities with experienced employees
    • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create an inclusive work environment for visible minorities
