Summary
This position is responsible for coordinating all the shipping/receiving requirements for Lafrentz Road Marking for raw materials, consumables, and finished goods, as well as any other related requests coming from subsidiaries of the Colas Group. Good communication skills are required to facilitate external freight companies, vendors, and internal divisions operations. Overtime, weekends, and nightshift work may also be required during the construction season.
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out the monthly physical inventory count of finished goods and raw materials in coordination with the Production Foreman.
- Coordinate with inbound and outbound shipments for all Lafrentz, and sometimes for other business units within the Colas Group, which involves coordinating with the Production Foreman and freight companies for drop-off times and locations.
- Create BoL’s for outgoing shipments.
- Ensure shipments are prepared, packaged, and shipped according to customer specifications.
- Plan and implement shipping/receiving tasks in accordance with priorities and production objectives.
- Packaging of shipments and forklift duties as needed.
- Shipment tracking for all incoming and outgoing orders.
- Obtain quotes for transport services for outgoing/incoming products.
- Preparation of PO requisitions for transport, raw materials, and supplies as needed.
- Ensure ISO9001:2015 processes are achieved for our production facility and related QC documentation.
- Ensure compliance with the facility's 6S requirements through End of Day checklists.
- Ensure a safe, effective, and efficient operation.
- Comply with all safe working procedures and practices, and participate in the safety goals, strategies, and daily safety activities.
- Versatility, flexibility, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are required in this position.
- Any other related tasks or administrative duties, as determined by Management and the business needs.
Profile- Typically requires a grade 12 Education and at least 2-3 years of experience.
