Job Title: Logistics and Sales Support Specialist

Department: Logistics and Planning

Reports To: Logistics and Planning Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

The role:

This role will be responsible for freight quotations, managing tracking information, resolving transit-related issues, import/export activities, and handling transportation claims. It involves coordinating the international supply chain and inventory control across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to manage logistics operations efficiently.

What you will do:

  • Support freight rate quotations and shipping arrangements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates, including communication of tracking numbers.
  • Proactively manage and resolve transit issues such as delays, damages, or misrouted shipments.
  • Process and follow up on transportation claims with carriers and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with purchasing to manage import logistics and ensure timely delivery.
  • Work closely with the Logistics Manager to:
  • Provide accurate ETAs to the sales team.
  • Establish and communicate shipment priorities to production.
  • Ensure smooth flow across the supply chain to meet delivery and performance targets.
  • Maintain positive relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with global locations and warehouses to ensure an efficient supply chain and adequate inventory levels.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within logistics processes.
  • Monitor team performance and provide coaching and feedback as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
  • 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on experience with freight quotations, shipment tracking, and claims processing.
  • Experience with import logistics and collaboration with purchasing is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus.
  • Understanding of domestic and international shipping regulations and documentation.
