Job summary

Fort McMurray, AB — Clean Harbors, Inc. is seeking a Lodging Maintenance Technician to support lodging and related facilities in camp environments.

This role operates on a 20/10 rotation, requiring staying in camp and performing a range of skilled trades and maintenance duties. The position involves maintaining and repairing facility systems, conducting preventative maintenance, following safety standards, and handling work orders and maintenance plans.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of trades such as plumbing, heating, air conditioning and ventilation, and carpentry.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform rudimentary calculations in basic mathematics.
  • Must possess a valid non‑GDL driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to work independently and maintain schedules and timetables for work completion and maintenance programs.
  • Must be able to work 20 days at a time, 20/10 shift, 10‑hour days staying in camp.
  • Must meet the Company health and legal standards established for a drug‑free environment.
  • Safety training courses such as H2S Alive, First Aid/CPR, and Confined Space are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various tasks, duties, and responsibilities to maintain and repair facility systems, structures, equipment, and grounds.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of all equipment, systems, facilities, and properties covered by the Company.
  • Follow prescribed policies, practices, standards, and procedures in maintaining and repairing Company property and equipment.
  • Adhere to safety standards and prescribed practices including Company and governmental regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and process documentation, such as work orders, purchase invoices/orders, process and methods sheets, instructions, and maintenance plans.
  • Other duties as assigned.
