Job Description for Locum Veterinarian (DVM)

We are an after-hours emergency hospital located near the beautiful Bay of Quinte, with a dedicated support staff committed to excellent patient and client care through teamwork and collaboration. Our hospital is equipped with a diagnostic digital radiograph machine, a well-stocked treatment area, in-house IDEXX blood machines, and more. We seek a team member who loves learning, is eager to grow, and works well in a team environment. Our hours may include evenings and weekends, but we offer flexibility, with most full-time employees working only 3 days a week.

Enjoy your days off in Zwick’s Park, Belleville’s popular outdoor recreational area, or explore the charming downtown shops and restaurants. The low cost of living and proximity to Prince Edward County, with its beaches, resorts, wineries, and vineyards, add to the appeal.

About The Role

The ideal Locum Veterinarian (DVM) will demonstrate exemplary medical standards with compassionate and caring patient treatment. The DVM will be responsible for clinical work, combining clinical expertise, emotional intelligence, and a servant leadership mindset to promote veterinary excellence.
