Job description

Location: Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), Barrie, Ontario
Duration: May 19, 2025 – January 5, 2026

Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) is seeking a Locum Malignant Hematologist to join our collegial team of 4.5 malignant hematologists and 1.5 benign hematologists for an 8-month locum opportunity at the Hudson Regional Cancer Center.

RVH is a 500+ bed Regional Centre that specializes in services such as Cardiac, Stroke, Oncology, Neonatal Intensive Care, Child & Youth Mental Health, and more. RVH was also recently designated as a Level III Trauma Centre.

Position Details:

  • Outpatient Clinics: full-time malignant hematology clinic at the Hudson Regional Cancer Center.
  • Call Coverage: equitable call division between hematology group.
  • No MRP or Internal Medicine Coverage Required: The hospitalist service provides care for admitted patients.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in biweekly Multidisciplinary Case Conferences (MCC) to review complex cases, as desired.
  • Administrative and Office Support: Full support staff, including administrative assistants and office coordination.
  • Highly Collegial Work Environment: Join a well-established and dynamic team dedicated to high-quality patient care.
