Join Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a Hospitalist!
We are seeking full-time and/or part-time Locum Hospitalists at Sechelt Hospital to provide 24-hour MRP medical services to acute care patients. This role offers the possibility of joining the group as a permanent member. Responsibilities include admitting new, unassigned, and unattached patients via the Emergency Department (ED), comprehensive patient rounding and stabilization, and responding to urgent, non-code calls for admitted patients. The successful candidates will participate in an on-call rotation, approximately 1-2 days per week, with 5-7 day work weeks. Candidates should have a strong interest in developing their acute care hospitalist practice within the Sechelt Hospital team.
Remuneration will be through the Longitudinal Family Physician (LFP) payment model.
Sechelt Hospital is a 63-bed acute care facility on the Sunshine Coast of BC, serving over 33,000 residents. It offers comprehensive health services including 24/7 emergency care, renal programs, mental health services, regional laboratory and imaging services, rehabilitation, surgical and birthing support, chemotherapy, and outpatient day care services.
