Job description

Roseway Hospital is seeking Physicians to provide Locum coverage during a period of active recruitment.

Compensation is provided by the service, and locum physicians are eligible to access travel benefits, including reimbursement for kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), airfare (up to $1500), and travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.

Qualifications:

  • All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
  • All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
  • Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • College of Family Physicians of Canada ER certification considered an asset.
