Le Département de Médecine de l'Université d'Ottawa recherche un cardiologue pour un remplacement de 12 mois pour couvrir un congé académique et de maternité. Les candidats sélectionnés géreront une pratique ambulatoire de cardiologie à l'Hôpital Général, participeront à l'enseignement des résidents et auront accès à un large éventail de diagnostics cardiaques non invasifs tout en travaillant avec une équipe médicale expérimentée.
The Division of Cardiology at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital has an opportunity for a 12-month locum starting July 2025 to cover academic and maternity leave within our group of 8 cardiologists. Successful candidates will have hospital privileges for in-patient care at the General Campus of the Ottawa Hospital including 8 weeks of in-patient service, and shared call supported by residents who take first call. Out-patient care will be based at the General Campus of The Ottawa Hospital where you will cover a turn-key academic out-patient cardiology practice supported by a collegial group of cardiologists and a stellar administrative & clinical staff. Candidates will have access to a full range of non-invasive cardiac diagnostics including echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, holter & ECG reading.
Candidates must hold the FRCPC in Internal Medicine with subsequent certification in Cardiology or equivalent specialty certification. Candidates with advanced training in echocardiography (level III or equivalent) are preferred. Successful candidates will hold an academic locum appointment at the University of Ottawa within the Department of Medicine. The Ottawa Hospital is one of the largest teaching hospitals in North America. In-patient service includes CCU and ward cardiology at the General campus of the Ottawa Hospital, consults to the emergency department and subspecialty wards, with opportunities to teach residents and medical students.
