Job summary

CN is seeking an Electrician Apprentice to perform inspection, maintenance and repair of locomotive electrical assemblies. You will work on electronics, computer systems, fuel injector systems and troubleshoot failures.

The role includes shift work in a 24/7 operation with potential overtime, outdoor and shop environments, and requires high school graduation, a valid driver's license, and an approved electrician certificate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Approved Electrician Certification or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness to work shifts and in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Repair, replace and monitor locomotive electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems on locomotives.
• Test circuits and connections with electrical test equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow CN procedures.
• Order electrical parts as needed.
• Complete repair and maintenance forms accurately.
