Job Profile

As The Female Locker Room Attendant 2, You Will

  • Provide supervision of the locker rooms, maintain order and enforce pool rules and regulations.
  • Maintain and clean all lockers (regular dusting, disinfecting, etc.).
  • Maintain and clean locker room floors (washing, rinsing, disinfecting).
  • Maintain cleaning equipment.
  • Assist patrons with the use of the lockers.
  • Maintain a proficient level of safety practices and operating procedures.
  • Process lost and found articles.
  • Maintain employee locker room area and general cleaning of front foyer/vestibule.
  • Maintain public washrooms, locker room washrooms and shower rooms; regularly clean all fixtures and ensure adequate supplies are on hand for public use.
  • Be required to work assigned or other than normal shifts and in some cases split shifts.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the classification as assigned.

Your Education And Qualifications Include

  • Experience dealing with the general public and employees in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Experience cleaning and using cleaning products and equipment.
  • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and the safety precautions and regulations that are applicable to the position's area of work is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Verbal communication skills with the ability to understand and execute verbal instructions.
  • Written communication skills with the ability to complete documents such as logs and reports clearly and concisely.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage and complete tasks within tight timelines.
  • IMPORTANT: Applicants who have been educated outside of Canada must have education which is comparable to the minimum qualification in Canada. Conditions Of Employment

  • The successful applicant must maintain legal eligibility to work in Canada. If the successful applicant possesses a work permit, it is their responsibility to ensure the permit remains valid.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid First Aid Certificate or be able to obtain one within six (6) months.
  • The successful candidate(s) will be assigned to different facilities dependent on operational requirements with duties performed dependent on facility.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and overnights .
  • Must be able to work in a warm humid environment and be free of any respiratory problems or susceptibility to infection which may hamper job performance.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including the ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and work at heights, in confined spaces or in a warm, humid environment.
  • Due to the physical environment the position works in (gender-specific locker room facilities), these roles have been designated as gender specific.
