Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking a reliable Shipper/Material Handler in Gravenhurst to move materials and finish goods, operate a counterbalance forklift, and ensure on-time shipping. This full-time role offers a $23/hour day shift with growth opportunities in a local facility.

Responsibilities include shipping/receiving, material movement, inventory control, and maintaining a clean, safe dock area in compliance with safety guidelines. 7:00 AM start with steady weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Forklift Certification with 1–2 years of hands-on experience.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, or material handling in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in an active production environment.
• Strict adherence to health and safety protocols including PPE (steel-toe boots required).
• Punctual and dependable with reliable transportation to Gravenhurst, ON for 7:00 AM start.

Responsibilities

• Forklift Operation: Safely operate counterbalance to transport materials, load/unload delivery trucks, and stage inventory.
• Shipping & Receiving: Inspect incoming shipments for damage/accuracy, verify packing slips, and prepare outgoing goods (palletizing, shrink-wrapping, labeling).
• Material Movement: Transport raw materials directly to production lines to maintain steady workflow and remove finished goods from assembly areas.
• Inventory Control: Maintain accurate stock records, perform regular cycle counts, and report inventory discrepancies or low supply levels.
• Facility Maintenance: Ensure the shipping/receiving dock and staging areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety guidelines.
