Job summary

Surepoint is seeking a Commercial Journeyman Electrician for our Nisku, AB team. The role emphasizes safety, precise code compliance, and strong troubleshooting abilities, with a local Edmonton-area focus and overtime opportunities.

Qualified candidates will hold Journeyman or Red Seal certification and have 5+ years of commercial electrical experience. A valid driver’s license and safety tickets are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a commercial electrician.
• Excellent blueprint reading and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong focus on QA/QC and safety paperwork.
• Reliable, on-time, professional attitude under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, circuit diagrams and codes to layout and build commercial electrical systems.
• Install conduit, cable trays, brackets and hangers; pull wire through walls and conduit.
• Connect fixtures, switches, relays, panels, and heavy equipment.
• Test circuit continuity for safety and compatibility; troubleshoot faults and replace components.
• Mentor apprentices and coordinate with site teams.
